Harmony
Suites:
Just wanted to say that we had a fab
time at Harmony Suites....... We had waited all year
for this holiday and it was everything that we could
have hoped for!!
Harmony was exactly the same as it
had been described in the brochure/web site and was
exactly what we we expected. Small, intimate and very
Caribbean!! Yes, the rooms required a little up dating
and the pool was freezing but we were staying at a typical
Caribbean hotel…
The restaurant adjoining Harmony has
recently been taken over by new chef "Bobo"
and the restaurant certainly had "The edge"(very
appropriately called)…
Good Luck to Bobo and his excellent
team, the food was excellent, the view of the harbour
stunning and the staff were fantastic!!!

Harmony Suites:
Harmony Suites is just as the name
implies, harmony, peace and quite. The location is stunning
as its on the marina side and quiet. The room was a
one bedroom apartment with spacious lounge, kitchen
area with everything you need, fridge, stove and oven,
toaster, kettle and coffee machine. The room we had overlooked
the pool and then lovely marina with the yachts. On
the water front was a superb resturant, delicious food
and magnificient view as on the water, literally. On
either side is the deck area to sunbathe with a gentle
breeze blowing or for the late night Gin and Tonic,
very peaceful watching the stars. Reception staff helpful
and friendly. Also the best massage ever, a must. A
2 minute walk brings you to the bustling beach which
is also very pretty and a very good resturant on the
beach. On the main road alot of very tasty places to
eat with prices varying.
All in all a wonderful place to stay
and would defineatley recommend it!

Royal by Rex Resorts
The Royal is a really nice hotel.
The rooms are very spacious, ok may not be the most
up to date decor but very clean and it has everything
you need including very fluffy towels (5* Standard)
changed twice a day, great beach towels; a dressing
gown each, safe and fridge. The King Sized bed was great
and there is a turn down service each night. The maids
were really friendly.
Beach and pool area great, and cool
towels and sorbet in the afternoon a nice touch. There
was always something of interest at the beach. One day
we even saw a bride, in her wedding dress, water skiing!
Breakfast really good but be aware
there are three plans; continental, American and Full.
We were on continental which was fine with lots of choice
but if we used the egg chef there was a $9US extra charge
each.
Lots of great restaurants. The best
is The Edge at the Harmony Suites; the restaurant opened
in November and is top notch 10/10 and is no more expensive
than most; we paid about £65 for the two of us with
3 courses & a couple of glasses each of good house
wine. Chic is fine with excellent Bisque starter, as
is Buzz, the Indian is quite good with fab shrimps.
cafe Claude is great for lunch and dinner. I thought
the Italian Del Mare was only ok, 7/10, the seafood
pasta was not very good at all but good chicken livers.

Oh yes, let me join the ranks of happy
customers at the Royal. We had a nice two weeks there
in January. Everything was really how we expected it
to be. Very pleasant and friendly staff, well kept suites
and public spaces, very nice and tranquil, perfect place
to relax. Also dined at a couple of restaurants. Both
hotel restaurants, Chic and L'Epicure exquisite cuisine,
especially Chic. Very nice food at the Edge, a new restaurant
very close, at Del Mare as well. Also tried a spa for
a couple of massages, my wife really liked that one
as you can imagine, especially the manicure/pedicure
and facial part. The complete service. Front desk staff
and concierge was also very helpful with information
and assistance.
We will definately be back, maybe
in a few years, hopefully it will still be the same.
All in all, loved it!
